Changing the Landscape: One Bag At a Time

March 14, 2012 3:00 p.m. Weather 4 degrees, wind 40 knots Findings included two HUGE sheets of plastic, wrapped around the base of two different trees.  Bright sunshine lifted the spirits.  It was a great day to be out!  There was a sports team from the highschool running the circumference of the pond today.    I captured our self-portrait.

Yesterday I wrote letters to the City of Calgary and to the Head Office of Tim Hortons.  I’m looking forward to heading up a team to be involved in the 45th Annual Pathway and River Cleanup to be held on May 6, 2012.  Ironically, the chief sponsor of Calgary’s River Cleanup is Tim Hortons!  So…what about the fact that it is primarily their label strewn all over Frank’s Flats?  If you would like to be on my River Cleanup team, please be in touch as the registration needs to be submitted by March 31.
