Helios
I drove with some friends
to see silver horses shine against
a Paynes Grey sky.
I couldn’t, however,
get the image of the
brilliant white swan
out of my mind.
Today, looking at water,
I realize that there is
light in the darkest of times.
Notice, that I am not typing,
“there is light that comes from
darkness”.
Rather, Light is in Darkness.
Michael,
Lucifer,
a tangled sprawl,
catapulting through highest heaven
and deepest hell.
A white bird, coupled for life,
alone, still, in dry autumn grass.
