Objects of My Affection: Green Glass

In the past, I’ve written about what magic was found in looking out upon Kootenay Lake through Pauline’s windows.  Her ledges were filled with wee blue bottles.  That really impacted me and when I returned home, I began to collect.  When I looked through coloured glass, upon morning light, I thought of our friendship and her smiling eyes.  It was a way of staying close to Pauline.

With all of my windows, now full, I’ve started to archive these so that when I spot one in a shop, I don’t purchase the same profile.  It will take quite some time to complete this and it’s not the sort of thing I would be entertained to do for a long period of time, but, I did get a start here.  I’m really sick with a chest cold at the moment…aching…and too sick to attend church or other public events.  So, today, I’ll stay home and make chicken soup and bless myself with some self-care.  Happy May Day!
