On 28 October, 1967 Millie married Henry Brenton (Harry) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.  Together, they shared a son and a daughter. Henry and I exchanged e mails and contact via Ancestry.ca for a few years before he passed away.  He had as much an interest in family history as I did and so the two of us had a lot of fun searching.  He also came from a career in the Airforce and that was also a connecting topic.

Great Auntie Millie had suffered tuberculosis as a young woman and had radical surgery, living most of her lifetime with one good lung.  I notice that in her obituary it was her wish to have contributions made to The Lung Association.

Harry, upon his visit to Summerside, went to visit the resting place of my Great Grandparents, Gabriel Gallant and Mildred Arsenault.

Sadly, Harry passed away in 2015, but has joined Millie for eternity.  May they rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon them.

I loved this little sentiment written in the guestbook for Harry’s memorial…it kind of exemplifies who he was in life.  I wished that I had met him.

Harry was not just a customer to us he was a friend ..Every year for christmas we would take him out to supper(his choice) he liked celtic corner☺ ..Valentines day he would bring us flowers …our mornings at tims will never be the same without him and his small 2 milk and cheese croissant heated….You will be sadly missed…….love the timmy girls cow bay road.
