“Come to the Water!”

A swoosh of posts…I look overly enthusiastic…it’s just that I haven’t had time to be knotted up into the vines of the internet lately…what with preparing the soil in the gardens for planting, hiking the hills more often in the sunshine and painting.  I thought, though, that I would share a few of the sketches I’ve made recently.  I was blessed by an intense journey in guided prayer last week, a gift to myself for my birthday.  I spent more time than usual watching two house finches at the feeder and easily meditated on the power of water in our lives.

  1. Walking in the sun, gardening, painting – it’s the magic time..
    “In just –
Spring when the world is mud-
    luscious the little
    lame balloonman
    whistles far and wee”
    – e. e. cummings, Chansons Innocentes, 1923

    • I am so grateful for your meaningful comment, Mr. Clinock! I do not receive many visits…some of you have strings and strings of comments, I’ve noticed. Truly, yours are gifts to me! Treasures! Your recent sketches related to ‘fishing’ are amazing…really think the one incorporating earth tones and black/white is remarkable!
