Changing the Landscape: One Bag at a Time

March 4, 2012 1:30 p.m. 1 degree Sunny and BEAUTIFUL!  Findings: Similar to previous days, our sixth bag was filled up with fast food containers and insulation, a thick black piece of foam and two cardboard boxes.

Greeted by a snowman…and what else? A Tim Horton’s cup!

I was thinking as I walked that perhaps I should contact the city about the bin…ask if I might have it emptied once each week.  I’ll wait until tomorrow afternoon.  Maybe garbage day is Monday!

Max barking loudly at this witness!

We received about 2 inches of snow last night, so there were two small ponds that Max enjoyed charging through.  It was a beautiful afternoon and I feel as though what we were doing was very positive.  There were no witnesses to our activity today, apart from the snowman, although the sports center seemed to be whirring with activity.

Frank’s stash…

I came upon a bag of discarded beer cans.  Might this be Frank’s stash?  I told him about ‘one bag at a time’, is it possible that this bag of beer cans represents a small shift in his thinking?

It was an especially beautiful day…and I was grateful just to breathe!
