Saturday Afternoon

It has been some time since I’ve written.  I’ve been swept up in the school start-up and have been very engaged in life, my young pooch and lots of outside exercise.

Every day I’m inspired to write something; it’s just a matter of taking the time to actually sit down and do it.  I continue to be amazed by my life and its challenges, as well as joys!

Max is coming along with his training and he changes a little every day.  I’m relieved that he has adjusted to the two big work sessions every day during the work week.  It is very hard to leave him and I think of his beautiful face often through the course of the day.  He is sitting, with tail wagging, when I arrive home and right away we head for the park and a ball-throwing session.

I recently completed the book, Stones From the River by Ursula Hegi, an excellent read for those of you who like historical fiction!  I am now onto Rembrandt’s Whore by Sylvie Natton, a whole other ‘ball of wax’.

My teaching in the Chapel has begun and Max comes out to the studio and behaves respectfully as I’m working.  The painting of heaven is also progressing and soon I will drive up to Edmonton with the new paintings, a body of work that has taught me much!

Last night I attended my first pig roast.  it was a fun event.  I’m wishing you a beautiful weekend.
