It has been ten years since Jarrett’s passing. I take pause this morning to remember his family again…and to acknowledge and celebrate his short life of thirteen years. Just yesterday, we received the news that one of our ECS students passed away in the night time…losing her battle as her internal organs quietly shut down. As I have learned from Jarrett’s family, it is an impossible thing to endure the loss of your own child…it has been explained to me that over time, you just learn to live differently. I want to raise up all families at this time of year…who have suffered the loss of someone special to them, that they will be cared for, given support, love and patience. Jarrett continues to be an angel in our hearts.
