The Art of Mending: Elizabeth Berg

I thought I’d get this one finished last night…but I was weary and my old dog had a bit of an upset stomach going on.  Sheesh!  That all kept me hopping through the wee hours.  He’s snoring it off right now and I’m onto the new day!
The book The Art of Mending by Elizabeth Berg is a good one.  It is another one that would help people in terms of learning to be open….learning to forgive….learning to grieve.  There is a wonderful metaphor going on between life’s events and the pieces of fabric that are stitched together to create a quilt.  I am loving this writer…Elizabeth Berg….her writing flows and she notices the ‘little’ things in life.

  1. Dear Kath,
I have no idea why it says Heidi\’s space on my the name space but I couldn\’t get rid of it so anyways.  I heard something on Oprah the other day and it has permeated my heart.  I believe because I have been in unforgiving spaces and have learned first hand that this statement is so true.  She said that being unforgiving is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.  How much have I drank in behalf of people that were of no consequence in my life any more.  I made my own consequence.  I love you my girl, cousin, friend, sister, ……..Margy  p.s. Thank you for your blogs, they are thought provoking….
