It helps to see the visual and as is mentioned on this particular blog, the stances must be brought up to some level of perfection….while of course, we believe that shotokan is a life-time study.
Last night’s training session was well-attended even though the roads and weather were not very good. Because there were so many present, it was a good thing to review eight steps and various blocks while moving across the floor. I feel better about my basics all the time…getting some confidence…and I’m thinking I MUST continue to stick my neck out and use Japanese so that it becomes second nature.
