Summer begins and the first rite of summer is marked by a trip north on the highway to the small village of Cremona. It’s a wonderful thing just to let loose and unwind and realize that time is yours to make of it what you want!
Beautiful blue sky that opened up to bubbling storm clouds…everything green and rich and spilling over.
A little homemade soup and sandwich on a Cremona restaurant deck…warm bench and pond-gazing…a beautiful start to summer!
" Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time."
John Lubbock
I think this John Lubbock fellow …..and the "Painter who Uses Blue" ……have their priorities in order…..good quote and words to read as summer arrives for us.
Mayhaps another cup of coffee is in order before I continue with this southbound trip. (O:
CHEERS!! and Happy Summer!!
