La Dolce Vita

An early birthday celebration was had at La Dolce Vita last evening.  It was such a calming atmosphere and the food was exquisite.  Chef Franco Cosentino makes the experience of dining a personal and aesthetic event and visits at your table, with stories and enthusiasm.

I enjoyed a beautiful chicken dish and a salad that was so light and beautiful in perfect olive oil vinaigrette.  Everything was seasoned to perfection and there was a generous wine selection.

Conversation was comfortable and amusing and I couldn’t have asked for a more heartwarming event to celebrate my life.  Our meal ended with the waiter stepping up and pouring flaming Sambuca over a piece of rich chocolate cake!  A red dribble of raspberry sauce on the large white plate was a striking detail as the chocolate seemed to shine in the blue liquid flame.  I would highly recommend this restaurant, with its beautiful background music selections and cheerful atmosphere.
