I took recreational time this weekend and treasured it. Something that really affected me was to sit in the livingroom alone and watch the Bridges of Madison County. I had seen this movie some years ago and really did not feel so impacted by it as I do today.
I was thinking about the photographer, Kincaid and the influence Francesca had on his work. He published his book, Four Days after the amazing four days they shared together. The objects and letters that she kept in her special footlocker had such an impact on her children, upon her death. It was as though the ephemera somehow encapsulated the most significant choices of their mother’s life.
This movie was a gift to me this weekend. It has left me much to think about.
